Collection of Writer Resources on the Net

These links have been hanging out in my favorites and I actually forgot they were there. I figured if I stick them on my blog I would be able to find them more easily all in one place. Oh, and they might be useful to you too. Win/Win.

Notebook from the past.

Written time capsule from 2002.
I kid you not–a few days ago I was wishing I still had some of my old notebooks from when I was younger. I thought I threw a lot of them away and I have no idea what I was thinking at the time, because I journaled in them, wrote story ideas and made collages on the covers, and now I want them back. What possessed me to do that? Maybe because a lot of the information held in those notebooks was so personal and raw. I didn’t want them, and I wanted no one else to read them. I think many of them were thrown away, but that purple notebook is one that my Mom unearthed in her house recently. She handed it me last night when we were visiting.
I asked her if she’d read it and she said yes. I was a little embarrassed because I didn’t know exactly what I had written in it. I opened it up and the date at the top of the first page was 7-25-02. The first page was a very angry poem about betrayal by a friend. I thought about sharing it here but I don’t know. It kinda feels too personal and so do the other ones in the notebook. The story ideas are still good (go 17-yr-old me!) and I’ll probably post one of the short stories here. It actually is short this time. I’m realizing how hard it is to keep a story good and still under 1,000 words.

Doodle from the notebook. I was a little obsessed with crocodiles at the time.

“Perfect”
This song randomly popped into my head last night. I haven’t heard it in years, not since my “Jagged Little Pill” cassette finally just stopped working. I’m so glad this isn’t how I was treated as a kid.
It still tugs the heart strings.

Hi there! My name is Angela (you may have guessed) but for short, you can call me Angie. I've been writing on the internet for fun since 2001, and for fun/professionally since 2009. This blog is full of things to read, but focuses on writing in all it's facets.
