White wolf dream

Last night around 4 am I woke from a dream that was a little scary and cool at the same time. I was in a beautiful wooded area around sunset with a few family members and we came across this bridge over a river. It reminded me of the big curved wooden bridge by the woods over the Cuyahoga river back where we used to live, except here in the woods there was a huge white wolf. I saw it in the woods before the sun went down, and then later after dark, when I was leaning against the railing on the bridge, I looked down and it was standing down on a rock by the river. It was pure white, not even a smudge of gray or brown anywhere on its coat.

I was a little afraid of it, I didn’t know if it would attack or not and I’m not sure if I was the only person who saw it because there were other people standing on the bridge in my dream. I kept getting the sense in my dream that the wolf was calling to me, it wanted me for something but it didn’t seem like it wanted to kill me. I was in awe of the animal but a little scared anyway. The wolf left the rock by the river and disappeared back into the woods. A few seconds later an animal came charging out of the woods and ran straight for me, but it wasn’t the white wolf — it was a fox or coyote or something smaller and tan colored. The people around me ran away and right before it attacked me, I woke up (when my dreams suddenly get too scary I automatically wake up).

The animal that attacked me wasn’t the white wolf, so whatever it was trying to communicate with me, it didn’t mean any harm. I think the animal that attacked me was just my dream doing what I expected because I was afraid. I looked up some dream meanings for a white wolf and this is what I found so far:

If in a positive light the wolf represents loyalty, wisdom and skilled guidance, as a negative symbol it speaks about aggression, deceit and dishonesty. If in your dream the wild animal attacks you and you are not able to defend yourself, then you will have to deal with many difficult problems in your waking life soon enough. On the other hand, if you manage to control and dominate the beast, your success is guaranteed. here

Bridge: To dream that you are crossing a bridge, signifies an important decision or a critical junction in your life. This decision will prove to be a positive change filled with prosperity and wealth in the horizon. Bridges represent a transitional period in your life where you will be moving on to a new stage. If the bridge is over water, then it suggests that your transition will be an emotional one. If you fall off the bridge and into the water, then the dream indicates that you are letting your emotions hold you back and prevent you from moving forward. Alternatively, the bridge may indicate that you are trying to “bridge” or connect two things together. here

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo

We went to the zoo last Wednesday and these are the best shots I could get. The polar bear must think he’s a movie star because all he did was stand right in front there and pose for the camera. That tortoise is ancient — I think its the same one that was there when I first went to the zoo in Kindergarten. Luckily it was a nice cloudy day and we only got rained on a little toward the end of the day.
