I’m making this DIY Love Card Deck for my husband for V-day (he doesn’t read my blog!).

The Psychology of Color infographic. I love learning about how something as simple as a color can make a difference with how your brain works and how people feel. I wonder if my mom knew about this when she decorated our kitchen/dining area with red and yellow? I don’t associate brown with boredom, though, more like cozy and warm.

Social Media in the 16th Century – An interesting example of how the networking methods of today are really nothing new.

This Daily Mail article (certain pictures can be considered NSFW) … You know, being “plus size” isn’t a bad thing. Complaints about the plus sizes being sizes 6 to 14 are valid, since many women still consider plus sizes as something they should run away from, no matter what size is labeled as such, and will go to great (not always healthy) lengths to be thin. So if you’re happy to be a size 7 and you find yourself having to shop in the plus size section… so what? The “plus” label is just kind of pointless anyway. Why not just put all of the sizes in the same area and just call them SIZES.

This vid of an interview of The White Stripes turned on a light bulb. If you don’t want to watch the video, the quote below sums it up.

Telling myself I have plenty of time to go over my novel is causing it not to happen. Instead of giving myself a whole year, I’m going to give myself 6 weeks. February and half of March. I realized the only reason I even finished the first draft is because it was a 30 challenge (NaNoWriMo) and I was ecstatic that I actually finished something that huge in that little bit of time. Deadlines and hard times are motivating and show you what you’re made of!
