Ghosts of a summer day
Hello September, it’s always good to see you.
I love that short but sweet time between the nasty heat and the leaves falling, it’s like the best of both seasons hanging out together. It’s also a time for planning, figuring out what we’re going to be for Halloween and how we’re celebrating. I’m thinking about going as the Absinthe fairy, or one of the scary nurses from Silent Hill. Aiden will probably go as a pirate, unless we come up with something else by then.
Little wall shelf from the thrift store, a great thing to have when you want to display cute stuff without your 3-yr-old getting hold of them. My gifted cancer the crab seashell and a glitter skull from the Dollar Tree.
My cuticles are ragged and I have pimples but who cares, my nails are glittery. I dumped different shades of red to purple fine glitter on my nails while they were wet and covered them with clear polish.
This box I painted white was white and blank for way too long.
It’s a big sigh of relief now, since last month was stressful and now we’re pulling ourselves back together.

Ah, September. It’s a beautiful month — not too cold, not too warm, and the promise of a wonderful fall right around the corner.
I love the idea of the absinthe fairy! I saw a few of them right after Moulin Rouge came out, but none for, oh, years now. Ditto on the Silent Hill nurses. Any idea on which nurse — Puppet, Bubble-Head, SH3? The Bubble-head/faceless ones might be harder to do, or, at least, it’d be harder to breathe through the mask/linen/whatever,
When the first game came out I wanted to be the nurse, but the idea of being hunched over and having something on my back all night just talked me out of it. Heh.
Anyway! I love your nails, and that box! Poor spiders are so misunderstood.

The absinthe fairy sounds like a really cool idea, I’d love to see that
I still haven’t figured out what I want to be for Halloween… I’m leaning towards werewolf though.
Right now really is the best time of the year, it’s just the right temperature outside and the leaves are getting bright and colourful but they’re still not falling off (at least not all of them).

I like the glittery skull it looks so magical. It reminds me of the relic used in the Phantom. I like the photo of the forest. It looks so mysterious.
